I decided to go with Oakwood for my Script Frenzy 2011 project, mainly because I knew that these characters and stories would never leave me alone. It’s just so vividly exploding in my mind, that I can’t not write it. Right now, I’m doing some character development and I’m planning on starting outlines by this time next week. I’m also going to try and outline the whole season arc as opposed to just the episodes I’ll be writing next month, but I’m not sure. The thing is, this series is so complex that I’d like to be able to build up to whatever ends the first season. There are things that will need some significant foreshadowing, and the best way to do that is to outline the whole season. I probably won’t outline every single episode of the season, just the overall story arc of it so that I can work off of that.
So far, that’s about all I can say. It’s very early on, so there’s not much to report about or anything, but I did want to check in and update what little progress I had made.
